Why would you be interested in this blog.
Hi, I’m Kay Whitaker – social entrepreneur. You may have your own definition of that phrase, for me it is simply what happens in the space where government cannot go and capitalism won’t go because of their obligation to shareholders. Having served on both sides of that line it is incredible to find myself standing in the gap, inspired daily by the transformations I see. Odd words from someone who has over thirty years in finance, making sure companies from start-ups to global concerns have the appropriate framework to be sustainable. But, as an entrepreneur I have always been in those places where rapid change is happening, typically because of new technology or changing regulations. I call them wrinkles in the market place where things that weren’t possible the day before suddenly are on their way to being shockingly common. And right now that area is philanthropy, social entrepreneurship.
